about me

Aspiring textile conservator with a background in fashion and textile design.

Throughout my undergraduate career at Cornell’s Fiber Science and Apparel Design program, I fell in love with textiles and how they were a way to interpret the world around me. However, I did not want to be a part of the contemporary fashion industry, contributing to the world’s social and climate issues.

Then I realized I could be a part of the group of people working on preserving historical textiles and garments for posterity.

My time in FIT’s Fashion and Textile Studies graduate program has led me to find my calling. Conservation feels like a conglomeration of everything about my studies so far that I have loved: the very real sciences of textiles, the hands-on work with objects, the resourceful, solution-based practice of mount-making, and the organization that comes with condition reports.
